Band name and album title: Sanity with The Beast
Genre: Power/Unblack Metal
Release date and label: They released this EP on their own on March 2nd.
Other releases by the band: After three albums, this is their second extended player.

How did I get to know the band: Sometimes I suspect that Metal Devastation Radio is trying to troll me. I can't explain some of the suggestions any other way. But let's give it a chance. Up until now, I've mostly avoided Christian rock and metal. I did review two Christian rock releases at my previous address, but that was several years ago.

What do I think of the album: Every now and then it sounds quite decent. The vocals range from growls and Dani Filth-like screams to clear vocals, as if an opera singer had wandered into their rehearsal room. So there's power metal in there too. They do both genres quite well, but the mix ruins it for me. Maybe it's just extremely unusual for me.

GOSPEL doesn't sound bad, a fast track that reminds you of the better songs by Cradle of Filth. The sound is harsh here, and there's no orchestra to be heard, so it's the best track for me.

Conclusion: It's definitely not my thing and I think I need to listen to a bit of Deicide first to get rid of the Christian feeling. If I've made you curious, you can take a listen, but I can't really recommend it.
